How many treatment sessions are required for melasma?
This can vary depending on the size density of melanin and depth of the affected area. Typically melasma will lighten or dissapear completely after 1-2 treatments although in some cases more treatments may be necessary.
How many treatment sessions are required for severe acne and acne scarring?
This can vary depending on skin and severity of the condition, but generally 4 to 6 sessions are required to achieve a great result. After that, the patient may need maintenance every few months depending on skin type.
Is it painful?
No, there is just a mild, very tolerable sensation of heat. This is one of the key technical breakthroughs of Aerolase technology! The LightPod Neo has set a new standard for virtually pain-free treatment, even on darker skin types, thanks to MicroPulse-1064 technology.
For hair removal, how many treatment sessions are required?
This can vary depending on skin and hair color, but generally 4 to 6 sessions are required for 80% clearance or greater, which is considered very good in aesthetic laser medicine. After that, an annual maintenance treatment is recommended.
How does this treatment work on PFB (ingrown hairs)?
The laser energy is absorbed by pigment in actively growing hair, damaging the hair follicle and thus, hair regrowth is impeded, reducing and eliminating the bumps caused by ingrown hairs.
Is it permanent, or do the hairs grow back?
The FDA requires that laser manufacturers describe the process as “permanent hair reduction”, not “permanent hair removal”, because, in their words, “although laser treatments with these devices will permanently reduce the total number of body hairs, they will not result in a permanent removal of all hair.” Patients can generally expect more than 75% to 80% clearance after 6 sessions and should plan on 1 or 2 annual follow up sessions for ideal maintenance.
For anti-aging and brown spots, when can I expect to see an improvement?
Improvement may be seen anywhere immediately after the treatment to a few weeks after the first treatment. Typically a session every month for 6 months is required. Patients should notice considerable results during the entire course of treatments and for another 6 months after the treatment due to the constant growth of new collagen and elastin. It is important to realize that there is no way to stop the skin’s aging process, so further treatment may be required in the future.
Is it permanent, or will my spots and laxity come back?
While your skin will appear firmer, more full and both red and brown spots will diminish, the skin will continue to age so maintenance treatments may be required in the future. To reduce the signs of aging it is important to wear sunscreen, which will slow any increase of wrinkles and sun damage.
I have warts. How many treatment sessions are required to get rid of them?
This can vary depending on the depth and size of the wart. Typically warts disappear completely after 1-2 treatments although in some cases more treatments may be necessary.
What causes warts to form?
A wart is a type of skin growth caused by a viral infection of the skin, commonly found on the fingers and around fingernails as well as the bottom of the feet. It commonly enters the body through an area of broken skin, which can cause rapid growth above the skin or even slow growth beneath the skin, as is common with plantar warts.
Is it permanent, or can the wart come back?
Once the vasculature feeding the wart has been destroyed, it is likely that it will be gone permanently, but it is important to take precaution so that no other infections occur. Some people are very prone to developing warts and a regimental upkeep may need to be performed
For vein treatment is it permanent, or do the vessels come back?
Many vessels will be gone permanently, but due to the skin aging, continued sun exposure and hormonal changes, new vessels will likely develop over time and more treatments will need to be performed. To slow the aging process and reduce the likeliness of new vessels developing, patients should always apply sunblock when in the sun and avoid prolonged sun exposure.
A jet peel facial is a non-invasive procedure that’s often used to combat signs of aging, dry skin, and acne. During treatment, pressurized streams of air penetrate into the deep layer of your skin called the dermis to deliver cleansers and serums.
The FDA-approved jet peel has gained popularity in recent years, and offers many of the same benefits as similar treatments like Dermal Infusion, or HydraFacial.Unlike other harsh treatments, jet peels are gentle enough for people with sensitve skin or skin conditions like acne or rosacea.
BENEFITS OF JETPEELThere’s a limited amount of research examining the benefits of jet peel at this time. However, this type of facial treatment has been linked to the following potential benefits.
Jet peels may help you treat and prevent acne by deep-cleaning your pores and exfoliating your skin. They also have the potential to deliver serums that contain ingredients like salicylic acid that can help with acne management.
Jet peel facials may help reduce signs of aging, wrinkles and sun damage and help stimulate collagen and elastin.
Jet peels help exfoliate your skin and may give it a smooth and refreshed feeling after treatment. Exfoliating can help you reduce clogged pores, reduce the appearance of scars, and help even out your skin tone.
Jet peel technology may also have other medical uses other than treating facial skin.A recent study found jet peels may be able to more efficiently deliver minoxidal (rogaine) into the scalp of people dealing with male and fenale pattern baldness.
The outer layer of your skin is referred to as your epidermis and the deeper layer is the dermis. Your dermis is made up primarily of collagen and provides your skin with structure and elasticity. Loss of collagen is one factor that causes your skin to age. Jet peels use a highly pressurized jet of oxygen to penetrate your dermis and infuse it with cleansers, nutrients, and serums
